Our group identity is built through conflict #politics

Human history in a (tiny) nutshell

Our group identity is built through conflict. We don't like those people so let's fight them.
Give us somebody to fight and we'll come together as a community and then, we'll be happy.

Anthropological records show this is the point of stoning people to death, that when you get to stone somebody to death as a community. it makes everyone happy and builds a sense of communal identity. It brings joy to the community because now we know we're good.

"the Archaea anthropological records"

Thank you for the interest in my work. The moments you are referring to I should have said "Anthropological" or "Sociological" not Archaeological. Archaeological records would of course be useless for this sort of claim. The research you can look at is anything related to public executions - stoning is just one form of public execution. In the US the last public hanging was just about 60 years ago - check out these crowds. https://timeline.com/rainy-bethea-last-public-execution-in-america-lischia-edwards-6f035f61c229
History is pretty clear, we love public executions and the crowds often rushed gallows or jails and would riot and kill the prisoners early. Auto-de-fes also attracted huge crowds. The punishment of a 'guilty' person creates a strong sense of cohesion and righteousness. Humans, aren't we swell.

Hope this helps and that this finds you well,

Wes
